Join us for a celebration of Estuary Day at Oakland Lake, 46th Avenue, and Cloverdale Blvd (meet at the ball field opposite the east end of the Lake).
Sponsored by NE Queens Parks and supported by Friends of Alley Pond Park, this event is open to all (free).
Queens Recreation from Parks will be there for fun, the Urban Park Rangers will offer canoeing (age 8 and above, must fit into a life jacket), and nature hikes will be provided by the Friends of Alley Pond Park and the Queens County Bird Club. Community groups for conservation and support of our Parks will be present. Come learn about the Alley Creek Estuary and Little Neck Bay, how to protect its clean waters, and what makes this area unique In the local ecosystem.
