The Friends of Alley Pond Park (“FoAPP”) are the recipients of the Partnership for Parks/City Parks Foundation match with an IOBY(Its Our Backyard) fundraiser. For each dollar donated, Partnership for Parks will match up to $3,000. We have reached our goal of $3,000!
This money was allocated for the 2023 Estuary Day celebration to purchase prizes, refreshments, and for outreach materials, as well as partnering with NYC Parks & Recreation, Alley Pond Environment Center, the Department of Environmental Conservation, and several more. Due to weather conditions, the event was cancelled and is now being considered for spring 2024.
