The Friends of Alley Pond Park (FoAPP) aspires to make the park a place of natural beauty, recreation, and education through community involvement to enhance and preserve the enjoyment of Alley Pond Park for future generations.
Our mission is to sustain and improve the park to benefit visitors and the community. We support the tradition of stewardship, education, recreation, and arts. We advocate for resources and best practices to ensure park safety and to protect the park’s wildlife.
To accomplish our mission, we organize planting, painting, and other stewardship projects throughout the year with volunteers, school and scouting groups, as well as NYC Parks. To learn more and get involved:
